Apprentice License For Hunting

The mentored hunting licence, also called an apprentice license for hunter, permits a person to hunt after they have completed hunter school. A mentor must be present to supervise the student while they hunt. This license was designed to attract new hunters of all ages to the sport of hunting. There are currently 33 states that offer this type license. Two states even lower the age requirement to hunt in order to attract younger hunters.

A Mentored youth hunting license permits a youth mentor to hunt. These youths may hunt a wide range of game species such as deer, turkeys or bobwhite-quail. The license has a limit on how many animals they can carry, so that only a limited number of these species can be taken per day.
